Filmmaker, Photographer, Audio Engineer, Vocalist

After 6 years of media and communications work in the nonprofit industry, I didn’t want to produce fundraising videos anymore, and I was tired of sitting in endless meetings about equity that weren’t going anywhere. I was burnt out and I needed to develop my own creative voice.

Now as a self-employed creative, I direct my photo and video services toward community-driven projects and organizations working to dismantle oppression and create authentic representation, particularly for BIPOC communities.

My first feature documentary, “And Other Oppressive Dynamics,” is about healing from the cycle of nonprofit harm, and won Best Feature Documentary at the Local Sightings Film Festival in 2022. My priority in every production is to center BIPOC voices both in front of and behind the screen, as well as to create a community-centered healing environment for everyone involved.

Born and raised in Seattle, I have been deeply embedded in the arts and cultural scene my entire life. I have delivered visual media for all types of individuals and organizations including Washington Ensemble Theatre, Velocity, Gay City, Shunpike, the Office of Arts and Culture, and many more. I have a background and formal education in audio production and also mentor young artists in vocal expression and technique with the youth record label Totem Star, while making time to sing my own songs every once in a while.

I acknowledge that I live and work on the unceded and traditional territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, specifically the Duwamish Tribe. This acknowledgement is a personal commitment to continue to educate myself and to honor the history of Indigenous Peoples, and serves as a first step in honoring the land I occupy.
